In light of my madness last week with giving away… I’m torn.
Our sermon yesterday talked a little about why you do the things you do… do you do them for recognition or are you doing them for God?
Selfishly, I gave away some pretty cool stuff last week… and yes, in order to get it you had to recognize me (by leaving a comment) and further recognition (linking back to me) would double your chances…
but deep down? I was happy because I was giving away. I was okay with the fact that I didn’t really get to participate in the other contests because I was busy giving away here… making others happy. That’s what it’s all about right?
I counted… I entered 15 giveaways… of over 500! That’s it… never thought I would win anything.
But what goes around, comes around… because I did win something…
I won 50 personalized candy wrappers (which I’ve always wanted to try out for a marketing tool….) from Tara S. at Destiny Driven….
Thanks!
It was nice to be blessed because I was a blessing… but it’s not what I was looking for…
ok, so yeah… i wanted some new readers… but if I didn’t get them, that would’ve been okay… because it’s the responses from those who won that made it worth everything I gave away…
I go back to the quote on the card that the missions team gave me…
“When you do good things for others, you do good things for God.”
Until next time…
Heather
