And then there were none?

in 30 Days of Thanks, Heather's Quirks, No Way...

::spoiler:: if you haven’t watched the last episode of the Bachelor and don’t want to know what happens, please step away from the blog….

Remember how I ranted and raved about the Bachelor and what crappy programming it was and how could a man think that after 8 weeks and 25 women he would find his true love, get married and live happily ever after?

And how I said I just wouldn’t watch it, because they never pick the right girl, but that I would watch the finale?

Ok, I lied. (Forgive me Father.)

I watched the entire season.

And I?

Fell in love with Deanna. And after her visit to Brad’s family, I thought that he fell in love with her, too. And I was just sure that when it came time to hand out the final rose, that she would be going home and Jenny would get that gorgeous ring.

So how excited was I that the first limo to arrive was Jenny’s? Bouncing off the walls… because for the first time the Bachelor was listening to my commentary from the couch. For the first time, I had hope in the reality tv shows of love.

And then?

Deanna arrived.

And he started telling her how she was everything he wanted in a wife and how he’d never felt that way with anyone like he did the first time he kissed her.

Her eyes sparkled. He told her that he had just sent Jenny home and a sigh of relief was emitted…

And then?

HE FREAKED OUT!

He started pulling on his collar.. he left his little platform… he walked behind the flowers…

and there she stood.

When he finally came back, he told her that he couldn’t look her in the eye and tell her that he loved her. After going on and on and on and babbling he said that he had to send her home, too.

WHAT?

Dude… I’m pretty sure that you don’t have to propose. And you know what? It’s okay that you don’t love her yet and that you don’t want to get hitched. Wait. Take some time but don’t send her home, you idiot!

And then he walked her out. He put her in that limo and sent her packing back to Georgia.

Um, hello?

Part of me respects that he didn’t jump into anything, but he could’ve pursued a relationship with either of them. They could’ve, you know, dated. Like normal people do… with out the cameras and the spotlight.

The other part?  I want to whop him upside the head!  He totally led them both on, which is okay, when you PICK ONE OF THEM, of which he did not.

So there sits Brad…obviously with some major issues and now I have to watch After the Final Rose tonight to see the women almost three months later, still hurt, and his explanation for why he did what he did. Because on the last After the Rose when he came out to face all the but the two he sent home, they asked if he was happy with his decision and he said yes.

I guess he could be happy with picking no one, but why waste our time?

So, Brad… all those women and you’re still alone…

Might I recommend Plenty of Fish?

Until next time…

Heather

30 daysI am thankful for television programs that allow me to escape momentarily. They allow me to look at my life and realize that I’m not as messed up in the head as I think I am sometimes. And I’m thankful that the stuff on tv does not become my reality, even though I get too wrapped up in programs sometimes…

This is exactly what I posted on last night. They should have been allowed to date and not forced the engagement or nothing thing on them. Which I’m pretty sure is what happened…

ARGH. The stupidist show on TV. Really. So why do I watch? B/c it’s high comedy, that’s why. How the heck does anyone expect to start a meaningful relationship after “dating” 25 women with a camera in your face the whole time? DUH!

he’s a chicken turd. i honestly think he got afraid of his feelings for her and just chickened out from doing anything with her.
