a note from Matthew…

February 6th, 2008

My Matthew is very special…. so is Samara but in different ways.

Matthew is very kind, caring, and giving… when he sees something that he believes in, he goes for it… whole heartedly… this includes church, sports, school, etc.

Yes, he’s an 11-year-old boy so we have the typical boy stuff that comes along with it, but he’s just a good kid.

Both of my children have signed up to participate in Jump Rope for Heart. Samara’s donation sheet is still sitting on her desk, and has been since she brought it home.

Matthew on the other hand has researched heart disease, spent much time figuring out his goal, how to reach his goal, and exactly how that will help those that need it. He’s set up a page online for donations and this morning, I received this email from him…

Friends,

Hi! I’m joining in the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope For Heart event at my school. I will be jumping rope to help the American Heart Association raise money to fight heart disease and stroke. Can you help me by making a donation? Thanks!

The American Heart Association’s online fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.00. If you want to donate less, that’s ok. You can just send the check right to me and I’ll make sure the American Heart Association gets it.

Follow This Link to visit my personal web page and help me in my efforts to support American Heart Association - Mid-Atlantic Affiliate.

My goal is $200+. I need to turn this in by the 11 oh Feburary. Please help me and the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION by giving.

Thank you in advance.

Matthew

If you feel led to give, please do so. The minimum donation is $25 online, but we have a PayPal account (heatherj0109 at yahoo dot com) as well and I will cover any fees for the donation.

Matthew, and I, thank you in advance.

Until next time…

Heather

That’s wonderful that Matthew is getting so involved. I am sure that Samara has her own special kind hear too.
