Last night, after our dinner of oven baked rice and roasted potatoes, we headed to Wal-Mart. We went in search of a second guitar for Guitar Hero… I heard a rumor that they were $20 but they were $40… at least at our Wal-Mart.
What we did find was American Idol Encore. We bought it.
I told the kids that I was going to bed early… at 1am, I had finally sang my heart out enough to warrant going to bed… i’m not sure what time they finally got to bed…
However, I can tell you that I embarrassed my children as well as myself, when I got platinum on Time of the Season and unlocked the Blake Lewis video of him performing it last season. I was jumping up and down like a giddy school girl, stopped playing immediately, and went to the extra section of the game so I could watch Blake in his plaid pants croon, beat box, and otherwise make my heart flip flop all over the place.
Yes, I need a life.
I really thought my crush on Blake was over and since I’ve given up TV for Lent, I’ve not found a new favorite from this season and only know what’s going on because Jo-Lynn gives such awesome updates.
This morning, having no where to go, we played again.
I am a little more adventure some and select songs that I know and ones that are a little more challenging. The kids, on the other hand, stick with the ones they know. I can tell you that I’m sick of Lips of an Angel, Walking on Sunshine, and It Ends Tonight. Those are the songs that Randy, Simon, and Paula will all tell them how wonderful they are. They need to move on.
After going Diamond after my rendition of My Heart Will Go On, I hung it up for today. I wanted to end my performance on a high note.
Ok, so actually, Matthew wanted to play his new Head Coach game. And I guess, since he paid the money for the PS2, I should allow him to play it. After all, I refused to buy one and we only have these new found musical abilities because he saved his money to purchase it.
I guess now, I’ll have to go do dishes, or laundry, or something like that, but really? I’m thinking that since I was crowned the American Idol that I should have people to do that for me…
Until next time…

Here's the deal... I'm insane. Plain and simple. And I do weird things, sometimes on purpose and sometimes not. I don't particularly like being this way, but it provides for entertainment for friends and family, and now the masses on the internet. Stick around for awhile...at some point in time, you'll laugh at me, if you haven't already!
