Really… I’m serious!
I’m so glad that you’ve stopped by my little home in cyber space while making your rounds through the Ultimate Blog Party. This is my second year participating which says little since it’s only the second year that it’s taken place, but it’s proven a few points…
For example, it’s a year later and I’m still blogging. Additionally, I’ve learned that some people, like 10 of them, actually read what I write and sometimes leave me comments… and I love love love comments…I work at home, so it’s almost like someone stopping by my cube to say hello.
Other points include the fact that I’ve made some really good friends through this party, ones that I might not have made elsewhere. Like DCRMom for example… have you been to her place yet? You really should. If I know her like I think I do, she’s gone all out. She’s quite the hostess and she’ll probably have some grand recipe for you to try and make it look super simple. That and she’s a genius when it comes to moms and fashion…
How about Karen? Have you been over there yet? I actually met her last year, not because I stopped by her blog (there were over a 1,000 and unfortunately, the children would not stay nourished enough for me to get to all of them) but because I won a copy of her book. Rumor has it, she’s giving away another one…so you might want to see her, especially if you’re one of those mom’s that’s been called the meanest mom in the world. I know I have…
Oh how I love a party…
Unfortunately, I’m missing the first few days because I’m hanging out with the women folk from my church at our annual women’s retreat in Williamsburg, but don’t fear, leave your comments and I will visit each of you upon my return…
Take some time and peruse through, I’d love for you to see exactly why I’m seeking sanity.. it might be because my children keep me on my toes, or because mice seem to think this is the Holiday Inn, or because I’m still working on this whole cooking thing, or maybe it’s because I’m just like that naturally… whatever the reason, I’m sure you can relate.
So kick back, grab a beverage and stick around for awhile. Just make sure to lock up when you leave, and know that I am still the American Idol and the Guitar Hero around here… but you’re more than welcome to give it a whirl while you’re here…
