Imagine that…

April 1st, 2008

I got an apology this afternoon.

This was after I sat all afternoon and watched men without shirts work across the street. I decided that perhaps a blocked driveway was a small price to pay.

As I was walking to get the mail, the boss man came up to me and said, “I have a delivery truck coming tomorrow morning at 9am. Unfortunately, there’s just no where else to park it that wouldn’t block your driveway. Will you need to get out at that time? He’ll be here for about an hour.”

I about fell over.

The man who was totally out of line this morning was actually trying to be accommodating.

I explained that it should be fine, but that just to be on the safe side, I would park my car out in the street.

He then apologized for the conversation that took place this morning. He went onto tell me that he was out of line and that I was right - that I should have access when I needed to be in and out and that he would do his best not to inconvenience me again.

I thanked him and continued on to the mail box as he got in his truck to leave.

No shirt #3 (yes, I’ve named them) approached me and asked if he, too, would be able to use my yard to park in and I said yes and then explained to me that he had said something to boss man about the events of this morning.

I thanked him as well as I checked to see if there was a wedding band..shucks… there is.

It was nice to be apologized to.

Until next time…

You deserved the apology this morning when it happened. Thank goodness they came to their senses. Not to be sexist by any means, but it just made me wonder if you had been a guy would they have said those things and treated you that way? Something tells me I think not.

That’s awesome that he apologized! Shirtless men working across the street & coming up and talking to you? Well HELLO! :-)
