besides the fact that I’m not ready to watch my prime time shows at 7pm, it’s that those that are in Eastern Time are already an hour into the Today Show while I’m sitting here patiently waiting for it to start so that I can see the New Kids.
Yesterday, I mentioned to some managers about them coming back.
They laughed.
I started to think that I was the only one around that was excited.
But then?
A gal at dinner stated she was excited too.
Then the waitress said she was excited.
Then a few more people expressed their interest.
I’ve now figured out how to determine if someone is in their late 20s… early 30s.. just mention the New Kids on the Block reunion and see what their reaction is.
If they laugh, they’re over 35.
If they stare at you like you have 3 heads? They’re under 25.
But please note… this only works on women. Men will laugh at you regardless of their age.
One of the gals told me that she didn’t say anything about being excited; that she was rather embarrassed. I proudly stated that I wasn’t; that i’d blogged about it multiple times and tell everyone I come across. But then again, I work from home… and she’s in news… so I can somewhat understand.
But I did tell her that she should NOT be embarrassed.
The New Kids are coming back (and I highly doubt that they will be called the Old Men in the Street as someone, over 35 obviously, stated at the lunch table yesterday) and I am excited.
Now…
if you’ll excuse me, I need to watch this and get ready in between segments.
Oh and Meredith just said it will happen “a little later this morning”… what does that mean? Thank goodness I Tivo’d all 4 hours. However, I know that I’ll just YouTube it before I get on the plane this afternoon. Some girls and I at the office have already planned to rendezvous later this morning and watch before I leave to catch the plane.
I can’t wait until after 8 when I get home tonight to see it.
Today is going to be a good day.
Until next time…

Ok, so I’m not 35 quite yet (one more month until that age comes upon me) — and I kinda laughed
Ok, not kinda — did!
I used to love them when I was a teenager, but honestly I got over it. Now, Kenny Chesney — there’s one of your obsessions I can join in with you over!

I have to admit that I did laugh when I heard about the reunion. (I am slightly over 35.) But it’s so fun watching you get all geeked up about them! And they do look rather yummy, except for Monkey Boy!
