Heather
I’ll break this up over the week, so if you haven’t already asked a question or you’d like me to elaborate on something, please let me know…. because I’m all about talking about myself. Really. I am.
So let’s begin, shall we?
Annabelle asks:
I read in the 100 things about me that you’ve written 3 ebooks…what are they about? What are their titles?
And so, I’ll let you know a little bit more about the business side of Heather. There’s multiple sides ya know. Some might call my Cybil, except I’m not crazy. Well, I am, but not like that. Then again, maybe I am… I’ve never seen the movie and the only Cybil I really know about is Cybil Shepard, you know from Moonlighting? Hey… did you know that’s coming back? But I don’t think Cybil’s going to be in it.
But back to your question…
I actually need to update my 100 things post, because the count is now up to four and they are all business related. But here’s what I’ve written or co-written.
And I just realized that you only asked me for the titles… well, I just worked hard to type and link all those, so I’m not going to delete it.
The reality of it is, I have more ideas than I have time for… and I have ADHD… which means I have LOTS of started eBooks that just need finished. One day.
Sister Honey Bunch asks:
What would your ideal Saturday be if you could spend it all alone?
::singing:: Sister Pie Honey Bunch… you know how I love you… I can’t help myself… I love you and no body else…
ahem. sorry about that. I can’t help it! Every.single.time. I see that, I sing. I even told her that one day and was afraid she would think that I was a freak, but she’s commented since then, so perhaps I’m in the clear.
Now about that Saturday…. I’m actually pretty fortunate because my kids go to their Dad’s every other weekend, so I can’t say I would spend it alone, because the majority of the time, I do. (Except this Saturday night… I have a date… at least I think I still do… )
However, those Saturdays, even though they are with their dad, there are softball games to attend, and youth group events to attend and the like. Or work. Sometimes there’s work to do for my job because I didn’t get it all done during the week.
My ideal Saturday, though, would consist of sleeping until noon and then lounging around all day and watching movies that no one else wants to watch with me and not having to lift a finger. The fridge would be stocked and the animals and I would lie on the couch and do nothing. NOTHING. And then? I’d get together with a cutie for coffee or dinner or a game of putt putt. Or maybe not. After lounging around all day, I’m not sure I would be motivated to leave the house…
unless he was REALLY cute. and funny. and read my blog.
Julie asks:
If I were ever to find myself 9 months pregnant and stuck in a dumpster, what would be the best way for me to get out?
Oh Julie! You slay me. But, based on experience, it’s a difficult process to get out of the dumpster when you’re stuck and 9 months pregnant.
I can tell you that you have to swing your legs over the edge of the dumpster. The first leg will swing easily, but the second one is a little more difficult. But don’t panic when you realize that the second leg just isn’t going to swing as easily as one of a gymnast… or that of a non pregnant woman.
So here’s what you do…
Are you wondering what in the world she is talking about? Or have you actually read the story linked at my 100 things page?
If you’re unfamiliar, it’s here. On a blog that I had such grand visions for and will one day be the home for my book Confessions of a Very Intelligent Woman: A Direct Descendant of Murphy. It’s halfway done. It will be done. One day.
And remember… you heard that advice here first!
Jean asks:
This one maybe kind of random..and maybe I missed the post on it. Did your mom ever come up with a name for her new dog?
Oh my goodness… I can’t believe I didn’t follow up with this. Well, yes I can. That was in the middle of the blog party and it got crazy and I forgot. It happens.
But mom went with Gracie. I like Gracie. She said that she responds to Gracie, which is good, because we all know how frustrating it is to call someone by name and them not answer. I know from experience. I call to Matthew and Samara all the time, and they just don’t answer… but I try not to take it personally, or just tell the witnesses that they have some strange disease in which they can’t hear anyone who gave birth to them.
Chels asks:
in 100 things.. you said that you don’t buy soda anymore…what do you drink instead?
First Chels, you need a blog so I can link to you! I was on a role… type the person’s name, copy the question, paste the question here, go back and copy the link location, come over here and past the link location, but I didn’t have to do that here. But I wanted to… so people could come to your blog.
And as I stated earlier, I need to update my 100 things. Now, I have gone back through periods where I was buying soda and then I would realize how much I was consuming and stop again. I’m currently in a “there’s no soda in the house” phase and I drink Propel. Except it’s not in a bottle, because that’s too expensive, and it’s not really Propel, it’s the Kroger brand that I can whip up all myself with my own non-filtered water and in my own pitcher.
When Propel first came out, I was in love but bummed because it was so expensive and I hate regular water. Hate it. Like I won’t drink it unless I am DYING of thirst. And I knew that it was made by the Gatorade people and I knew that you could buy Gatorade that you could mix up by yourself and I prayed, oh how I prayed, that one day they would make a version of Propel that you could make yourself. And then?
They did and it was still expensive. So I prayed and prayed that they would make a knock off brand… and they did, but not before they made those little drop in packs.
But now? I make our Lemon Fitness Drink every day. And I drink alot of it. And I feel better because I’m drinking water and not all that soda.
But when I do buy soda? I buy Caffiene Free Diet Dr. Pepper because on Weight Watchers it has no points. (I’m not doing WW right now, by the way, but I probably should be) And if that’s not on sale then I buy Diet Dr. K. Which would be the Kroger brand of Diet Dr. Pepper. I’m cheap like that.
And so there’s today’s installment…
I’ll have more. Really, I will. But I have to work and install blogs and entertain my kids and twitter. I have such a busy life.
Next time you’ll learn about sharing my faith, my hair, and college…it will be fun… and maybe, just maybe, i’ll have a video to share…
Until next time…

Here's the deal... I'm insane. Plain and simple. And I do weird things, sometimes on purpose and sometimes not. I don't particularly like being this way, but it provides for entertainment for friends and family, and now the masses on the internet. Stick around for awhile...at some point in time, you'll laugh at me, if you haven't already!

Ha ha - you’re braver than I am, asking questions and all. And doesn’t Kroger (or, as our pastor calls it, “K-Roger”) have the BEST house brand stuff?

REALLY?? ADHD?? I would NEVER have guessed.
I have ADD. Without the H. But I’m sometimes Hyper anyway.
See?? We’re so much alike. Scary, right? I wish I was smart like you, though. *snort*
And Moonlighting??? My FAVORITE show when I was a kid…. I just rented it from Netflix and was horribly, horribly disappointed. It was SO MUCH BETTER in my memory…. I hate it when that happens.
And now I have to come back tomorrow??? To get the answer to MY question???
Oh. Al.right.

: ) i have a blog but it’s been neglected lol.. maybe i should start again.
I hate plain water too, so i use Lipton’s tea to go packets. I used to drink so much soda back then, mostly Mountain Dew. Now i can’t stand soda at all.

Fellow water haters unite!
I feel the same about water. I was drinking a lot of Snapple White Tea, Vitamin Waters, Fuze or lemonade until I started paying more attention to the labels and the sugar content. I still drink Fuze Slenderize though, they’re low in carbs.
Like Sister above I love Lipton and Crystal Light to go packs. One of them has a Pear white tea that’s awesome. They’re a little pricey but less so than the Vitamin Waters. Anything that will get me drinking water regularly is worth it.
Thanks for the laughs today.
