An old soul

I'm blogging from my iPad again. Except this time it's since my MacBook is unavailable because it's playing the Golden Girls.

Yes. The Golden Girls. I love them.

And my friend Erin came for a visit, brought all 7 seasons on DVD and left them with me.

And for some reason, my husband and children are not as excited about this as I am, so the ONE tv and DVD player we have in the house cannot be used because the hubs and thing 1 are watching something about a sunken ship.

Or something.

Not nearly as entertaining as Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, and Sophia.

So I'm in our room, watching the Golden Girls on my laptop and playing on the iPad. (because I am downright exhausted from our weekend.)

Side note: we spent Friday night at a tailgate fundraiser for the cheerleaders, then a football game, and in the middle of the football game we had 300 boxes of doughnuts to sell. Then Saturday, we went to the heritage fall festival at Monticello – you know – where Thomas Jefferson lived. Anyway, apparently he was a big gardener and so now they have this big festival and when the groupons offered tickets at half off, I bought them.

You know. Because my hubs loves to garden.

It was fun. But we were WAY out of our league. I enjoyed the chicken whisperer session and they enjoyed the session on how to make your own cheese. I'm not sure we'll be doing that anytime soon. Then home to meet friends to see Nemo 3D (did you know I have never seen that movie in its entirety?) and then home… Where we stayed up until 12:30 watching the Golden Girls.

Up this morning for church, then to the Civic Center to work the Spirit FM booth at Blessed Blades. Drop thing 2 off with a friend. Home to make dinner. Eat and to the grocery store.

Yes.

I'm tired.

So I'm sitting here, watching the Golden Girls! And signing along every 24 minutes….

Thank you for being a friend…

This show came out when I was 8

I vaguely remember watching this then…I'm sure I didn't much.

But I really remember as I got older and it was on lifetime.

But now there is no cable.

Netflix doesn't stream them.

And I must rely on the DVDs.

And I'm grateful for Erin. :)

Off to finish this episode and head to bed. I'm exhausted.

Until next time…
