Tonight, we had macaroni and cheese. Like we do most every Tuesday night. It’s Thing 2′s favorite.
Yes, I realize at most meals, it’s a side. Not at the House of Chaos.
Nope, it’s a main dish.
And it’s not hard.
If I were a good food blogger, I would’ve taken step by step pictures, but I forgot to take A picture until Thing 1 was doing up the dishes so you’re stuck just picturing it in your mind.
You’ll get over it.
Or not make it.
Either is fine.
But I thought I would share with those who might want something easy.
Stuff You Need
1lb box elbow pasta
2lb block of colby jack cheese
3 tbps butter
Step-By-Step
Spray a 2.5-3qt dish with non-stick cooking spray. (I use whatever I have, but this is important or that cheese will never come off)
Preheat oven to 350
Prepare elbow pasta according to package directions
Grate block of cheese (or if you bought the kind pre-grated in the bag, snack on it while you wait for the pasta to cook.)
Drain and rinse the pasta when finished
Return to pot
Melt butter in pasta
Mix 3/4 of the cheese with the pasta
Pour into baking dish
Cover with remaining cheese
Bake uncovered 20 minutes
Serve
Enjoy
And it’s that good… there’s never any left!

Until next time…

Just added this to my meal plan for next week! Thanks so much!!
Yum, looks great! I love home made mac and cheese. I actually just posted a mac and cheese recipe on my blog, http://www.thenonmarthamomma.com/2013/03/squash-mac-and-cheese.html.
