Happy Blogiversary To Me!

Six years ago today, I started Desperately Seeking Sanity…

the name came to me while I was in the potty… I knew I wanted to blog, but I couldn’t do it without an awesome name…

When the name finally came, I had a domain and a blog up within an hour.

And I blogged.

My first post was about a reunion of sorts… a reunion of people that used to work together at the local television station. It’s nothing, really, on the outside to read.  Just a few pictures of a much thinner (and drunker) me…

Little did I know.. that night…

That night, things were going to change.

And they were going to change big.

Just eleven days later, I submitted my life to Christ.

I’ll be running my testimony again next week while we’re on the cruise… (if you don’t want to wait until next week you can read it now… I typically run it once a year, about this time… so this is last year’s version… part 1 | part 2| part 3 | part 4 | part 5)

But yeah.

Six years.

and I can’t tell you how many friends I’ve met along the way… (and so GRATEFUL I get to give this one a HUGE hug on Sunday — coincidentally, Lisa’s also been reading my blog from the beginning… because she’s instrumental in the testimony!)

I’m working around here on many things… new content, new pages, cleaning things up a bit… I’m calling it my Big Blog Comeback (BBC) but it’s not an over night thing… I’m working here and there…

because when you’ve had something around this long, and it truly is something you love, you can’t just let it go by the way side.

I look forward to seeing what the next few years bring!
